What's with Bitcoin, Litecoin etc?

 You hear those coinz all day on the internet, on the news, referred as crypto-currency and similar cool names. What is Bitcoin? What is with Litecoin and others? Why you would need them whereas there is money already? I will try to explain that questions on my first post, hello world :-)

 Digital currency is the new gold. Just like gold, they can be mined. But there is the difference; you don't mine them, your computer does. This mining process is nothing more than a computer solving a complex mathematical algorithm. When your computer finds blocks -the gold-, it gets a reward: coinz. Bitcoin, Litecoin or whatever you mining.
 Thanks to our hardworking miners, there will be millions of coinz on the market, still counts as couple of millions but this means as time goes, there will be more digital coinz than ever.
